AAA Bond Rating for Palo Alto Reaffirmed by Standard and Poor's
Once again, Palo Alto receives a General Obligation (GO) bond rating of AAA from Standard and Poor's. This is the highest credit rating possible and has been awarded to only a few cities in California.

Emergency Water Supply
Since 1962, the City’s primary source of potable water is the SFPUC aqueduct system with five connection points in various parts of the City. The proposed new reservoir, like the City’s existing reservoirs, would be used for fire fighting and meeting short-term (hours) emergency demand.
